Zusammenfassung

The City of Vancouver is seeking an Engineering Assistant III - Sewers Utility Drafter to support the renewal, design and management of the city’s sewer and drainage network. You will create and maintain construction drawings, update GIS data, and assist with field surveys.

Based in Engineering Services, you will use AutoCAD Civil 3D, TopoBase and GIS tools, collaborating with internal teams and external partners. A flexible hybrid schedule is offered under the City’s Flexible Work Program.

Qualifikationen

• Grade 12 with technical courses related to the work or equivalent training/experience.
• Experience preparing AutoCAD construction drawings in Civil 3D.

Aufgaben

• Creates sewer design drawings using GIS/AutoCAD/TopoBase.
• Updates GIS as-built information.
• Provides technical information regarding sewer and water infrastructure in writing.
• Performs quality control of GIS data.
• Supports field survey work to collect as-built information.
• Interacts with the public, private companies, outside agencies and other City branches.
