Job summary

Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto is seeking a Settlement Worker (Casual/On Call) to support newcomers with social, cultural and economic integration in Toronto. The role focuses on intake, case management and delivering client-centered services across programs.

You will conduct eligibility assessments, provide information and referrals, document in iCARE and Excel, and assist at the front desk while coordinating workshops and outreach to community partners.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Community Development, Humanities, Social Services or Counseling.
• Second language required (Ukrainian, Spanish, Urdu or Farsi)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility assessments for clients during intake to identify settlement needs.
• Provide comprehensive one-on-one case management and referrals across services.
• Enter client information into forms and databases (iCARE, OCMS, Excel).
• Support front desk reception and administrative duties as needed.
• Develop outreach plans and coordinate workshops and community events.
