Shell Trading Canada (STC) offers a unique opportunity to join its crude operations team within its global trading network. We are seeking a Settlement Analyst (also known as Operations Support Analyst) to support traders by analyzing various information sources to maximize efficiencies.
This position is one of 6 within the Crude Trading Operations Support Team, responsible for managing the settlement of all crude product transactions. It acts as a primary link between the Calgary team and Chennai, India-based financial groups, overseeing the settlement process and interfacing with external trade counterparties regarding pricing, volume, and invoicing. The role also supports STC's growing lease business.
You will work closely with top traders and operators, gaining industry insights and practical experience with systems involved in the deal lifecycle, including Operations, Demurrage/Claims, Contracts, Credit, Risk Control, Scheduling, Analysis, and Trading strategies.
Note: The role requires availability during weekends, evenings, and holidays, with in-office presence 3 days a week (Tues-Thurs) and optional Monday and Friday during settlement periods.
