Responsibilities
  • NSITEP La Ronge requires a sessional instructor for EAE 201 – Introduction to Arts Education K-12. This is an introductory course for those preparing to teach Arts Education in Grades K-12, with particular focus on Grades K-9.
  • Participants will actively explore content and curriculum in dance, drama, music and visual art.
  • Section information text: Restricted to Education Students.
  • The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate course content to students.
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback.
  • Awareness and implementation of culturally responsive approaches.
Qualifications
  • Candidates will have a Master of Education degree or graduate degree in the appropriate area of instruction and experience within the education system appropriate to the content of the course.
  • An understanding of Gabriel Dumont Institute values and previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations is required.
  • Candidates must be approved by the University of Regina.
