Job summary

University of Calgary invites applications for Sessional Instructors to teach DRAM 355: Introduction to Canadian Theatre and Drama in Winter 2027. Course runs Jan 11–Apr 13, with synchronous web-based sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.Applicants should hold an MA/MFA/PhD in Drama and have significant post-secondary teaching experience.

Experience with IBPOC theatre communities and non-traditional creation practices is an asset.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering theatre curriculum at the post-secondary level.
• Familiarity with Canadian drama, theatre history and dramaturgy is preferred.
• Non-traditional creation practices are a plus and IBPOC theatre communities knowledge is valued.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor diverse student cohorts.

Responsibilities

• Teach DRAM 355: Introduction to Canadian Theatre and Drama during Winter 2027 (Jan 11–Apr 13).
• Deliver course material in a web-based, synchronous format as scheduled.
• Participate in course planning, assessment and student feedback per division guidelines.
