Job summary

Hyatt Infiniti, part of AutoCanada, is seeking a Service Porter in Calgary, Alberta. The role involves transporting customers, cleaning vehicles, and assisting the Service and Sales departments to keep the lot organized and ready for customers.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, removing coverings, tagging for the reconditioning process, and seasonal cleaning tasks. A valid license and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in automotive industry and basic vehicle knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and cleaning tools is a plus.
• Must be dependable with strong attention to detail and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Support Service and Sales departments.
• Daily organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service areas.
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags before returning completed vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris, and damages and report issues.
• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars.
• Assist with shop cleanup and deliveries as needed.
• Seasonal exterior cleaning (e.g., snow removal).
• Identify lot merchandising needs and place signage on vehicles.
• Monitor and organize vehicles daily based on progress in reconditioning.

Your area of focus.

In this position, theService Porterwill be responsible for transporting customers as needed, cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will be placed into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Service and Sales Department duties
• Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
• Inspect vehicles for stains,debrisand damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damageimmediately
• Assistwith service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
• Assistwith shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e.snow removal)
• Identifyany lot merchandising needs or issues to theappropriate manager
• Placing signage in and on vehiclesfor advertising purposes
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process

What are the must-haves…

• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable,possessa strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively

Compensation

The expected range of compensation for this position is $17 – $18 Hourly — No bonus. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
