JD Sweid Foods Ltd. in Waterloo, ON is seeking a Service role (Day shift) to support production lines in a fast-paced meat processing environment.

You will assemble equipment for planned production, operate and adjust machinery, and coordinate with the processing team to maintain a steady flow of product. The role requires lifting up to 25 kg, adherence to HACCP and food safety standards, good communication and teamwork, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a cold plant setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle heavy lifting up to 25kg.

Responsabilités

• Assemble equipment for planned production in a safe, efficient manner.
• Operate and adjust equipment for optimum productivity and yield.
• Maximize efficiencies, minimize downtime, and report mechanical problems promptly.
• Coordinate with further processing to maintain product flow.
• Perform line checks for product specification compliance.
• Organize dry goods to meet customer specifications.
• Monitor machinery and maintain coating levels for production flow.
• Handle totes and bags up to 25kg.
• Adhere to food safety and HACCP principles.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and reduce slip/trip hazards.
• Perform other duties as directed by leads and supervisors.

The following list of duties and responsibilities of the Service personnel (Full Time) is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities of the job described; rather they are intended only to describe the general nature of the job.

• Ensure proper assembly of equipment needed for planed production in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate and adjust equipment for optimum results (productivity and yield)
• Maximize efficiencies where possible, minimize down time, efficient change-over of products and reporting mechanical problems promptly.
• Coordinate with further processing to ensure constant flow of product.
• Perform line checks to ensure compliance with product specifications.
• Organize dry goods to ensure compliance with specifications of the customer product.
• Monitor machinery and maintain optimal levels of coatings for optimum production flow
• Dumping and lifting of totes, bags and items weighing up to 25kgs
• Adhere to food safety and HACCP principles
• Keep work area clean, free of slip and trip hazards at all times
• Other duties as directed by Production Lead Hands and Supervisors

Qualifications Required:

• Able to handle heavy lifting of up to 25kg bags
• Experience with food safety and HACCP principles
• Must be dependable and hold an above average attendance record
• Strong mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills and able to work well in a team environment
• Ability to work well under pressure and with little supervision
• Responsible to maintain a hand truck and or forklift license

Working Conditions:

• Work in cold or wet and slippery plant conditions for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work flexible shifts
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment
