Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Kamloops, BC, is seeking a Service Technician for our Construction & Forestry division to work the afternoon shift, Monday - Thursday, 2:30 pm-12:30 am, at our Kamloops location.

This role focuses on repair and maintenance of construction and forestry equipment and attachments in a shop environment, with responsibilities including diagnostics, parts coordination, and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Previously mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment preferred.
• Must be certified Journeyperson in Heavy Duty Equipment tech trade or equivalent.
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the working condition, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy‑duty equipment.
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
• Accurately document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken.
• continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to standards.
• Use John Deere Service Advisor to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts and order parts from parts personnel.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.

Education

Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Service Technician for our Construction & Forestry branch to work the afternoon shift, Monday - Thursday, 2:30 pm-12:30 am, at the location. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

What We Look For
