Job summary

Golf Town Canada Inc. is seeking a Service Tech for the Pro Shop to deliver exceptional customer service, assist with sales, and manage merchandise processing. You will support club repair and shaft work, ensuring displays meet brand standards and safety practices are followed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 1–3 years in retail; passion for golf and knowledge of club fitting are a plus. The role emphasizes strong communication and rapport-building with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service, sales, merchandise processing and operational functions within the Pro Shop.
• Merchandise the pro shop to company standards; display shafts and grips appropriately.
• Maintain housekeeping of work area and equipment.
• Ensure high quality of club shaft repairs and re-gripping.
• Provide knowledge for club grip and shaft specifications.
• Ensure safety practices are followed by associates.
• Answer department phones within three rings.
• Address asset protection issues to prevent loss.

What You'll Do;

It is the primary responsibility of the Service Tech at Golf Town to provide customer service, sales, merchandise processing and operational functions within the Pro Shop.

Pro Shop/Club Repair

• Ensure the merchandising of the pro shop meets company standard.
• Ensure shafts and grips are displayed appropriately.
• Maintain overall housekeeping of work area including general maintenance on all equipment.
• Ensure a high level of proficiency and quality of work on all club shaft repairs and re-gripping.
• Provide knowledge for club grip and shaft specifications.
• Ensure that company safety practices are being followed by associates.

Customer Service

• Provide customers with highest level of service, emphasizing courteous and knowledgeable assistance to each and every customer.
• Demonstrate the ability to listen to and solve customer issues.
• Understand and be knowledgeable of how to handle customer complaints.
• Be familiar with Company Customer Service policies.
• Answer department phones courteously within three rings.
• Address asset protection issues that may occur within the department in a manner that there is neither a loss to the company nor an uncontrollable situation with the customer.

What You'll Bring;

• A high school education and computer literacy skills is preferred.
• 1 - 3 years of relevant retail sales experience.
• Affinity for luxury golf equipment, apparel and accessories, keen interest in golf and regularly keeping up to date with market trends and new innovations in golf retail
• Strong communication and leadership skills and sound judgment.
• Detail oriented and strong attention to customer service.
• Ability to execute company standards successfully.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills-ability to adapt to meet a wide range of customer needs, able to build rapport quickly

Pro Shop Specific Skills Required

• Requires re-gripping and re-shafting experience through Company training program
• Strong knowledge of club fitting as well as sales.
