Golf Town, a proudly Canadian golf superstore, is seeking a Service Tech for the Pro Shop in Oakville. You will provide customer service, sales, and merchandise processing within the Pro Shop, contributing to a fast-paced, golf-focused environment.

Responsibilities include pro shop merchandising, shaft and grip display, and performing club repairs with attention to safety and quality. Flex schedules and ongoing product training help you stay sharp in the latest golf gear.

Qualifications

• High school education and computer literacy preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant retail sales experience.
• Affinity for luxury golf equipment and keeping up with golf market trends.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise the pro shop to company standards.
• Display shafts and grips appropriately.
• Maintain overall housekeeping of work area and equipment.
• Perform club shaft repairs and re-gripping with high quality.
• Provide knowledge on grip and shaft specifications.
• Ensure company safety practices are followed by associates.
• Provide highest level of customer service and courteous assistance.
• Listen to and resolve customer issues.
• Handle customer complaints per policy.
• Answer department phones within three rings.
• Protect assets to prevent loss.

What You'll Do;

It is the primary responsibility of the Service Tech at Golf Town to provide customer service, sales, merchandise processing and operational functions within the Pro Shop.

Pro Shop/Club Repair:

• Ensure the merchandising of the pro shopmeets company standard.
• Ensure shafts and grips are displayed appropriately.
• Maintain overall housekeeping of work area including general maintenance on all equipment.
• Ensure a high level of proficiency and quality of work on all club shaft repairs and re-gripping.
• Provide knowledge for club grip and shaft specifications.
• Ensure that company safety practices are being followed by associates.

Customer Service:

• Provide customers with highest level of service, emphasizing courteous and knowledgeable assistance to each and every customer.
• Demonstrate the ability to listen to and solve customer issues.
• Understand and be knowledgeable of how to handle customer complaints.
• Be familiar with Company Customer Service policies.
• Answer department phones courteously within three rings.
• Address asset protection issues that may occur within the department in a manner that there is neither a loss to the company nor an uncontrollable situation with the customer.

What You Will Bring;

• A high school education and computer literacy skills is preferred.
• 1 - 3 yearsrelevant retail sales experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet an asset
• Affinity for luxury golf equipment, apparel and accessories, keen interest in golf and regularly keeping up to date with market trends and new innovations in golf retail
• Strong communication and leadership skills and sound judgment.
• Detail oriented and strong attention to customer service.
• Ability to execute company standards successfully.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills-ability to adapt to meet a wide range of customer needs, able to build rapport quickly

Pro Shop Specific Skills Required:

• Requires re-gripping and re-shafting experience through Company training program
• Strong knowledge of club fitting as well as sales.

Work Hours:

• Flex schedule - some weekends and evenings.
• Work varied shifts, including week days, weekends and holidays.
