Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking a Helper Service Technician to join our growing Toronto area team. You will assist Lead Technicians in installing, repairing, and servicing commercial doors, dock equipment, and related systems while gaining hands-on experience.

Ideal candidates have a safety-minded attitude, basic mechanical knowledge or a willingness to learn, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Training and growth opportunities are provided with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of doors, dock systems, or basic mechanical/electrical work or a strong willingness to learn.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and work at heights or outdoors in various weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Technicians on installs and service calls for doors and dock equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues on-site.
• Keep tools, truck stock, and inventory organized and ready for the next job.
• Log job details accurately including time, job numbers, and materials used.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and other trades on site.
• Assist with regular maintenance and safety inspections.
• Jump in on work orders and service calls as they come in.
• Follow all company and site safety procedures; safety is top priority.
• Take part in team meetings, training sessions, and hands-on learning opportunities.
• Support Lead and Manager with other duties as needed.

You’ll work alongside experienced Lead Technicians, helping install, repair, and service commercial doors, dock levelers, and other loading dock equipment for our industrial and commercial customers.

What You’ll Do

• Work with our Lead Technicians on installs and service calls for sectional doors, rolling doors, fire doors, vehicle restraints, impact doors, and loading dock equipment.
• Help troubleshoot and repair equipment issues on-site.
• Keep tools, truck stock, and inventory organized and ready for the next job.
• Log job details accurately including time, job numbers, and materials used.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and other trades on site.
• Assist with regular maintenance and safety inspections.
