StaffingSolutionsbySarah in the Greater London Area or Sudbury is seeking a Door Technician with millwright or mechanical incline and welding experience to support installation, repair, and maintenance of doors, gates, and dock systems. Approximately 20% travel to out-of-town sites, including underground projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical systems, doors, gates or similar equipment.
• Welding experience is required; certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Physically capable of hands-on work with power tools.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varied weather.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial doors, gates, and dock equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Utilize welding and mechanical skills for on-site repairs and modifications.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment inventory readiness.
• Record time logs, service notes, and completion details.
• Deliver professional customer support to clients and contractors.
• Comply with safety standards and workplace protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and development sessions.

About the Role:

Approximately 20% of the work will require out-of-town travel, including underground projects. All required training and site certifications will be provided.
