Job summary

TPD® Workforce Solutions is seeking a hands-on Service Technician to travel within a designated territory in Canada, performing professional repair work and customer service. Training is provided and prior window or glass experience is not required.

You’ll use hand and power tools, measure precisely, and interact with customers to deliver a quality service experience. The role emphasizes independent field work, safety compliance, and efficient management of schedules and parts.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Experience using common hand and power tools (drills, saws, levels, tape measures).
  • Ability to take accurate measurements and perform basic math.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Able to lift up to 45 lbs and work from ladders/scaffolding.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customers’ homes for scheduled service appointments and complete warranty and non-warranty repairs.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues by adjusting components, replacing parts, and making necessary repairs.
  • Perform water tests, take accurate measurements, and document completed work.
  • Review work orders to ensure accuracy and that all required work is completed.
  • Identify and requisition parts needed for field repairs.
  • Manage daily appointments and territory efficiently while meeting service deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and provide a positive service experience.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including required PPE.
  • Work independently while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Hands-On Technical Role | Customer-Facing | Independent Field Work

Are you mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, and take pride in solving problems? We’re looking for a Service Technician to join our team and provide professional repair and service support to customers throughout an assigned territory.

This is a great opportunity for someone with customer service experience and strong mechanical aptitude who wants to build a career in a hands-on technical role. Previous window or glass experience is not required — we’ll provide the product-specific training you need to succeed.

What You’ll Do
  • Travel to customers’ homes for scheduled service appointments and complete warranty and non-warranty repairs

What You Bring
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
  • Experience using common hand and power tools such as drills, saws, levels, and tape measures
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and take accurate measurements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Any construction or trades-related experience is an asset
  • Good hand-eye coordination and color recognition
  • Comfortable using GPS/navigation systems and travelling throughout an assigned territory
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs
  • Physically capable of climbing ladders up to 40 feet and working from scaffolding
