Service Technician

About the Role

Centrix Control Solutions has an immediate opening for an Instrumentation Service Specialist, based at our Edmonton facility. This position would provide the opportunity to achieve Journeyman Instrumentation status.

• Masoneilan control valves factory-authorized assembly and service
• General control valve service, assembly and calibration
• Digital positioner calibration and integration with DCS
• PPC Instrument Air Dryers factory authorized service
• Data entry utilizing computer programs such as ValvKeep
• Inspecting, measuring, servicing and testing equipment
• Interaction with Centrix sales team to offer sales and service solutions to our valued customers
• Strict adherence to and cooperation within Centrix Control Solutions Safety Policies and Procedures
• General shop maintenance and up-keep including storage, equipment clean-up and shipping/receiving as needed

Here's a Snapshot of How You'll Contribute to Our Team

• Courteous and professional communication with customers & vendors
• Able to demonstrate strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
• Data entry abilities utilizing ERP
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience
• Proficient in use of calibrated measurement devices
• Ability and willing to travel for Western Canada field service
• Ability to travel internationally for manufacturer certified training
• Able to adhere to and pass customer drug & alcohol testing
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as alone with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and stoop
• Strong problem-solving ability with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and write English clearly

Who We’re Looking For

• Technical training certificate in Instrumentation Engineering or Industrial Automation (opportunity to participate in the Instrumentation Journeyman program)
• Valid Class 5 drivers license minimum
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015
