Job description

Job Description

We require a full-time employee to work as a scale technician with a scale company located on Annacis Island. The work area covers all of the lower mainland of Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

Experience in the scale business is an asset. The ideal candidate must be mechanically inclined and able to learn basic electronics. Preference will be given to candidates with a Class 3 driver's license to operate our large weight truck, or those willing to obtain it later. The candidate must be willing to undergo training to become accredited with Measurement Canada as an inspector to certify scales for trade.

This is a unionized position with full benefits, including a pension plan. The hourly rate increases with levels of achievement.

The applicant should be good with customers and willing to work as part of a team with co-workers.

Company Description

Richmond Scale has serviced the lower mainland for 25 years, calibrating and repairing all types of weighing scales. Technicians will be provided with training and a vehicle, as most of our jobs are in the field on-site.
