Job summary

Green Diamond Equipment in Alberton, PEI, is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service team, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive results in a busy branch. The role emphasizes developing people and delivering outstanding service.

You will schedule repairs, coach staff, create quotes, monitor work orders, and manage department budgets while recruiting and training to maintain high service standards. You will collaborate with the sales team to optimize uptime and service profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a managerial role (Shop Foreman / Lead Hand / Supervisor, etc.).
• Above-average computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members to achieve results.
• Basic understanding of service department financials and ability to analyze internal reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Ensure manufacturer warranty procedures are followed by service staff.
• Create and monitor work/repair orders using business systems.

We’re looking for an exceptional Service Manager to join our Alberton, PEI team and lead a department that’s committed to delivering outstanding service, developing people, and driving results.

Purpose

The Service Manager will direct and organize the service team to maximize performance and maintain customer satisfaction in a busy branch environment.

Responsibilities

As a leader of service operations, the Service Manager will:

• Maintain a safe environment and ensures customer satisfaction
• Successfully communicate job expectations, monitor job results and coach employees to achieve optimal results
• Ensure all manufacturer warranty procedures are followed by service department staff
• Utilize business systems to create and monitor work/repair orders
• Main point of contact for both customers and sales department when scheduling repairs, creating quotes and providing status updates
• Create schedules and staffing requirements, and assign jobs based on priority and technical skill set
• Monitor department efficiencies, operational budget, and expenses
• Actively participates in recruiting, staffing and development of training plans for all service department staff

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in managerial role (Shop Foreman, Lead Hand, Supervisor, etc.).
• Above average computer skills (Microsoft Office etc.)
• A proven ability to effectively communicate with team members to achieve desired results.
• A basic understanding of service department financials, and the capability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
• Experience in the agricultural, heavy equipment, or related industry considered an asset.
