Service Desk Technician L2
Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Service Desk Technician L2 who will analyze, diagnose and resolve complex end user problems and suggest scalable corrective solutions.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  1. Prepare, maintain and uphold logging and reporting procedures and monitor desktop operations via ticketing system.
  2. Proactively manage the customer computing experience, execute plans, and implement streamlined / automated technical infrastructure projects to refresh supported systems.
  3. Operate as first and second level support to end-users running workstations and laptops, and extend / simplify remote support for global users.
  4. Analyze root cause problems and execute corrective actions for reliable computing experiences, coordinating with computer specialists to resolve issues.
  5. Document, execute, and maintain desktop security standards according to IT security policies, and handle system administration of enterprise desktop asset management tools.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least an Associate's degree in Information Technology with three years of related experience and/or training, or 3 years of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of service desk operations experience with proven expertise in Windows technologies.
  • Ability to perform Windows network administration tasks and a broad understanding of the Windows environment.
  • Understanding of IT enterprise infrastructure such as networks, systems, telephony, and storage.
  • Ability to travel to office and data center locations for on-site support, as needed.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
