Job description

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service via phone, email, fax, or in person.
  • Coordinate rush deliveries with production, tech services, and purchasing.
  • Be the point of contact for Customers, Distributors, and Outside Sales Staff.
  • Use SAP software to prepare proposals, quotes, and place orders.
  • Use SAP software for receiving, shipping, and moving goods.
  • Track the status of existing orders and shipments.
  • Maintain facility resources and ensure documentation traceability.
  • Support the service center activities such as dismantling and cleaning mechanical seals and components, checking for defects, and testing. Identify materials and decide if repair or replacement is needed.
  • Produce reports for quotations and repair scope.
  • Assemble and package seals for shipment (new and repaired).
  • Adhere to EBCA Quality Standards, HSE policies, and development procedures.
  • Perform basic machining tasks (manual milling, surface grinding, lapping) as part of seal repair.
  • React productively to change and undertake other tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices, such as 5S.
  • Support maintenance activities (equipment, building, layout changes, machine installation).
  • Represent the department during external audits (ISO 9001, others).
  • Participate in the annual inventory process.
  • Contribute to the Quality Management System, including auditing other departments.

Qualifications :

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of related work experience.
  • Intermediate skills in SAP and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Knowledge of mechanical seals is advantageous.
  • Basic blueprint reading skills.
  • Knowledge of materials (metals, etc.); a technical background is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills in English; French is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, and database applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently, and to undertake site visits to customers.
  • Good judgment and professional demeanor required.
