Job summary

Kinton Ramen Winnipeg is hiring a Part-time Service Assistant to provide high-quality service to guests at our FOH. You will greet guests, present menus, manage takeout orders, prep and stock service items, and ensure cleanliness and safety standards. Night shifts may apply, with on-site work at our Sterling Lyon location.

Requirements include at least 1 year of customer service experience, a Secondary School Education or equivalent, and a Smart Choice certification. Japanese language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests and present menus.
• Prepare restaurant tables with attention to sanitation and order.
• Take takeout orders from guests and enter into POS.
• Pack takeout orders for delivery drivers.
• Serve food & beverages in a timely fashion.
• Clear dishes and replenish service ware for FOH.
• Prepare and stock all service items and maintain par levels.
• Process transactions and guest payments as needed.
• Assist with refilling drinks and guest satisfaction checks.
• Maintain dining room to ensure visual appeal and brand alignment.
• Comply with health, food safety and hygiene standards and policies.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and return clean ware.

Job Overview

Service Assistant are responsible for providing high-quality service to customers while exhibiting product knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion.

Job responsibilities

• Greet all guests and present menus
• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Take takeout orders from guests and place into POS
• Pack takeout orders to be readily available for delivery drivers
• Serve food & beverage items as ordered in a timely fashion
• Clear dishes and replenish washed service ware for FOH station
• Prepare and stock all service items including maintaining assigned par levels
• Prepare checks, process transactions and guest payments when required
• Assist with refilling drinks, clearing plates, and checking on guest satisfaction.
• Handle minor guest requests (e.g., extra napkins, condiments) to support servers.
• Maintain dining room to ensure the utmost visual appeal and Brand alignment
• Comply and action all health, food safety and hygiene standards and policies
• Operate dishwashing equipment, wash and sanitize dishes, and return clean service ware to designated FOH/BOH stations.
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience is mandatory
• Secondary School Education or equivalent proven and related work experience
• Smart Choice certifications is required

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires standing for up to 8 hours per shift, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.

This position also requires lifting up to 25lbs from floor to waist, waist to shoulder and shoulder to above head. This position also required twisting, turning, and reaching.

Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulation and follow in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift; ability to work until 12am
• Monday to Friday
• Weekly hours: 20-24
