ABOUT THEROLE
We are looking for aServiceAdvisor to join our team atCountry Hills Volkswagen. The successfulcandidate is someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and eagerto contribute to our growing team.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Responsible for welcomingcustomers and gathering the required information to identify the vehiclerepair and maintenance work required.
- Advise customers onmaintenance schedules, explain the importance of maintenance based onmanufacturers recommendations, sell services, understands and appliesfactory and aftermarket warranties. Recommends additional services basedon vehicle history, time and mileage and provides thefinance officewith warranty expiration information.
- Documentsandcompletesa repair order, verifying customer information, preferredmethod of contact, vehicle information and concerns, accurate detailedprice estimate, completes vehicle walk-around, checks vehicle history foropen recalls and campaigns and provides customer with an expected timeframe for completion.
- Obtain pre-authorizationcosts, parts availability, and payments
- Verifies the scope ofwarranty coverage prior to the work being done and ensures appropriateapprovals are obtained.
- Monitors the progress of thework and keeps customers informed regarding the status of theirvehicle.
- Review CSI monthly score andday to day performance
- Utilizes CDKandDealer-FX onall customers pay repair orders and accurately ordersparts.
- Preparation and explanationof the work and charges to the customer.
- Other duties as assigned bymanagement
ABOUT YOU
- Have a minimum of2+years of experience as a Service Advisor in the Automotiveindustry.
- Requires clear written andoral communication and a focus on excellent customer service.
- Must be able to interpretcustomers’ descriptions of their vehicle problems and translate them intoclear instructions for thetechnicians.
- Excellent organizationalskills and an ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
- Must be able to effectivelydeal with customers’ concerns or complaints.
- Good understanding of thebrand, maintenance, and warranty requirements.
- Must be computer literatewith an ability to use a variety of programs and learn new oneseasily.
- Previous experience with CDKand/or Dealer-FX is considered an asset
