Job summary

Tirecraft Cambridge ON is seeking a Service Advisor for a contract position. The role involves taking service calls, writing up work orders, dispatching technicians, and handling front-counter sales with a strong customer-focus. Wages range from CAD 22.00 to 28.00 hourly, based on experience.

Qualifications include leadership experience, familiarity with retail tire/auto services, a valid driver’s license, and solid communication skills. Benefits are available and accommodations can be discussed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a leadership role is required.
• Experience in retail and/or commercial tire/auto service is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract is required.
• Good computer literacy is required.
• Basic mechanical and tire knowledge is expected.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Write up work orders for all sales and service transactions and present to technicians.
• Handle service calls and dispatch Tire Service Tech(s) accordingly.
• Invoice products and services and process payment.
• Manage front counter and phone interactions with a focus on customer service.
• Monitor service activities to ensure timely completion (FIFO).
• Assist Store Manager with product selection and inventory levels for retail.
• Complete product adjustments, including manufacturer claim forms, promptly.
• Maintain marketable and clean product/service displays.

Responsibilities

• Write up work orders for all sales and service transactions and present to the Technicians.
• Take all “service calls” telephone requests, write up work orders and dispatch Tire Service Tech(s) accordingly.
• Invoice all product and service sales once complete and process payment immediately.
• Handle sales and service at the front counter and on the telephone, with a strong focus on facilitating the best possible customer service.
• Monitor all service activities to ensure work is completed on a “first in – first out” basis and that it is completed in a timely manner.
• Provide Store Manager with assistance/input concerning product selection and inventory levels for the retail shop.
• Complete product adjustments, including manufacturer claim forms, on a timely basis.
• Maintain product and service displays in a marketable and clean appearance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a leadership position
• Previous experience in retail and commercial tire/automotive industry an asset
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• Computer literate
• Basic mechanical and tire understanding
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
