Hino Central is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team in Edmonton.The Service Advisor will be responsible to provide professional, safe and reliable service to our internal and external customers, e xperience with Parts is considered an asset.

Main responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments for truck service and repairs
  • Service check-ins, triage and track workflow of vehicles through shop for a timely repair and return to service.
  • Review previous work history, open recalls and outstanding services and advise customers on recommended repairs.
  • Provide solution to address customer’s needs and wants
  • Identify possible warrantable repairs in conjunction with the Service Manager
  • Review account status and collect payments as and when required
  • Filing of invoices and capturing data as required
  • Consult with technicians about necessary repairs, estimates and alternative repair options.
  • Distribution and allocation of work to technicians
  • Communicate effectively with customers by advising on recommended repairs, services, estimates as well as warranty coverages, and giving feature/benefit presentations
  • Ensure follow up to customers in a timely and efficient manner to provide ongoing updates on changes to services/vehicle repairs, estimates and repair completion
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a Service Advisor role is an asset
  • Valid Driver’s License with Driver’s Abstract acceptable to TDF Group’s Driver and Vehicle Safety Program
  • Due to fiduciary responsibility, pre-hire Criminal Security Clearance and Credit Check is required
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A technical aptitude
  • Must be fluent in the English language
  • Parts experience considered an asset
  • A commitment to customer service and a team player
  • Ability to solve problems independently following company guidelines and policies
  • Strong computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
