Alta Equipment Group is seeking a Service Administrator for our Burlington, ON branch. The role involves coordinating service work, entering times and invoicing, and supporting dispatch and the Service Manager.

The successful candidate will have strong Excel skills, excellent communication, and a detail-oriented approach. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive base salary with potential bonuses.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicate status of service work with peers and customers.
• Input technician time daily for work orders and payroll.
• Complete and invoice service orders promptly.
• Enter invoices into customer systems/portals.
• Handle inbound calls regarding service invoice issues.
• Arrange third-party services and issue purchase orders.
• Assist dispatch and Service Manager as needed.
• Support other tasks as they arise.

Compensation range: $46,000 to $52,000 per year. This range is regarding base pay only and does not include benefits and potential bonuses. Overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographical location, skillset, education, and experience.

Job Duties

Alta Material Handling is currently looking for a full-time Service Administrator for our Burlington, ON branch. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

• Communicating effectively with peers, internal and external customers on the status of service work and all other related items
• Inputting the technicians time daily onto the work orders in the system as required for work order completion and payroll
• Completing and invoicing service orders in a timely manner
• Inputting invoices into various customers systems/portals as required
• Inbound calls from customers regarding service invoice issues and resolution of complaints
• Arrange 3rd party services which include issuing purchase orders, receiving purchase orders and applying to service orders
• Providing assistance to our dispatch office to take customer calls as backup
• Providing assistance to Service Manager when required
• Provide support and assistance on other tasks as they arise

Skills

• High School Diploma
• College or additional certification is a definite asset
• English fluency and effective verbal and writing communication skills
• Knowledge and experience in Excel and other computers skills are a MUST
• Excellent communication skills and follow up on requests and task are a MUST
• Excellent work ethic
• Superior organizational skills and multitasking ability
• Experience in a similar position is an asset
• Strong technical and mechanical background in the automotive or forklift industry is an asset
• We do not require Canadian work experience for this role.
• Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract
• Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
