Description :

Our enterprise client is seeking a highly skilled Server Specialist for a 3+ month contract employment opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting servers and related infrastructure in both cloud and on-premise environments. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Responsibilities :

• Support and maintain servers and related infrastructure in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Implement and manage cybersecurity frameworks, threat detection, and mitigation strategies.
• Design and implement disaster recovery solutions with cloud infrastructure.
• Migrate on-prem infrastructure to a cloud hybrid DR environment.
• Automate routine tasks using various scripting languages.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025).
• Administer various Red Hat and Ubuntu-based Linux distributions.
• Manage storage and network technologies.
• Administer Office 365 applications like Teams and Exchange Online.
• Monitor infrastructure using various applications.
• Utilize automation tools like Azure Automation or Ansible.

Qualifications :

• Diploma or degree in information systems. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency.
• 5-7+ years of experience supporting servers and related infrastructure.
• MCSA / MCSE certification is an asset.
• Red Hat and / or other Linux certifications are an asset.
• Experience with MS Azure infrastructure services.
• Experience with VMware and Hyper-V for both server and desktop virtualization.
• Knowledge of data centers and associated server support.
