Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership (MLSE) is seeking a Food & Beverage Service team member to deliver winning service at our venues. You will set up dining areas, prep for service, and engage guests with menu recommendations and wine selections.

You will provide timely service, manage items on the menu, and ensure a clean workstation while adhering to MLSE standards and safety policies. Availability across various shifts is required.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Smart Serve certification required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of POS systems an asset.
  • Work well under pressure; balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Set dining room for service.
  • Prepare for service; polish cutlery/glassware, stock side stations, etc.
  • Provide friendly and informed response to questions regarding menu and wine selections.
  • Deliver timely food and beverage service according to specific restaurant standards as advised by the Service Manager.
  • Advise on and promote items on the menu.
  • Order items with speed and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.
  • Run Food efficiently and with a sense of urgency.
  • Removal of all dirty dishes, glassware and cutlery.
  • Replenish / stock work area.
  • Quick and detailed completion of assigned side duties.
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies.
  • Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Job Description

Compensation Range/Rate: $17.70 / hour
