Job Description

To serve as a personal representative of the hotel by providing guests with high-standard service, ensuring an excellent dining experience. You should have a thorough understanding of the operation, menus (including wine and promotional menus), and be able to upsell effectively.

• Report punctually to maintain team integrity and guest satisfaction
• Offer friendly, efficient, and personal service
• Clear dishes, deliver meals, and present bills professionally and discreetly
• Have full knowledge of menus, beverages, and promotions
• Handle guest complaints to ensure guest happiness
• Be knowledgeable about menu items, garnishes, and preparation to answer guest questions
• Maintain teamwork and good work ethics, assisting colleagues as needed
• Understand shift reports, cash transactions, and deposit procedures
• Read and understand hotel policies, procedures, and standards
• Familiarize with restaurant operations, reservations, and service standards
• Follow safety and sanitation protocols
• Perform side duties as assigned and participate in meetings
• Follow recycling and safety procedures and report accidents immediately
• Share suggestions for improving guest experience and operations
• Operate equipment used in the outlet and understand other hotel services

Qualifications:

• Availability for breakfast and lunch shifts
• Experience in food and beverage service
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
• Smart Serve certification
• Legal age to serve alcohol
• OTEC certification is an asset

Physical Aspects:

• Constant standing and walking
• Lifting up to 30 lbs
• Kneeling, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders
