Job summary

Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver is seeking a Food & Beverage Server to deliver professional, friendly service and assist dining operations.

You will help guests with menu items, know beverage lists and promotions, and ensure proper setup of stations. Flexibility for early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous service experience an asset.
• Previous Point of Sale system experience an asset.
• Excellent Communication and Organizational skills.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Possession of the Serving It Right Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Assist Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience.
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
• Ensure proper set up of all side stations in the outlet.
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.
