Position Summary:

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and adaptable Server to join our dining services team at our independent seniors living community. This casual part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and contributing to a warm, welcoming, and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet residents and guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Take meal orders and serve food and beverages efficiently and accurately
  • Ensure tables are properly set and dining areas are clean, organized, and inviting
  • Assist with light food preparation and plating as needed
  • Perform cleaning duties including wiping tables, sweeping floors, and maintaining sanitation standards in the dining area
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members
  • Support residents with special dietary needs or mobility challenges
  • Be adaptable and responsive to the changing needs of the community and team
  • Maintain a respectful and positive attitude toward residents and coworkers
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required
Qualifications:
  • Previous serving or customer service experience preferred
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with seniors
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to take on cleaning tasks and support other team members as needed
Working Conditions:
  • Casual part-time hours, with shifts scheduled based on operational needs
