Job summary

Prima Living in Morrisburg, Ontario is seeking a friendly Part-Time Server to deliver excellent meals and courteous service to residents and guests. You will serve food and beverages, keep dining areas clean, and help with light kitchen tasks under the cook's direction, in a respectful, patient senior living setting.

Shifts are 3:30 to 7:30, five days a week with alternating weekends. Pay is $18.16 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, housekeeping, or laundry (preferred)
• WHMIS Certification
• Clear TB Test and Criminal Record Check
• Physical ability to carry out duties in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Friendly attitude with teamwork and customer service focus
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask
• Empathy for seniors' needs
• Well-groomed with high hygiene standards
• Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control procedures
• Must be free from communicable diseases and allergens that could affect performance

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean dining areas before and after service
• Maintain kitchen and dining areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition
• Assist with light food prep or assembly under the direction of the cook
• Perform routine housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned
• Store and handle equipment safely and report any unsafe or faulty equipment
• Respect and uphold residents’ privacy, dignity, and rights at all times
• Interact positively with residents, coworkers, and visitors
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Food Services Manager or General Manager
