Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an SEO Manager, Senior Living, to own search for a book of senior living clients. You’ll shape the technical roadmap, content priorities, and the ranking story, acting as the strategic voice in client discussions.

You’ll work with writers and AI to produce drafts and drive results across multiple locations. You will lead technical audits, keyword strategy, and AI-assisted content while coordinating with remote teams and US clients on live calls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO with audits and fixes performed by you.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across multiple clients simultaneously.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for multi-location businesses is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Set keyword strategy and on-page optimization with writers and AI.
• Enhance visibility in AI search alongside classic results.
• Manage local search and multi-location SEO for clients.
• Provide GA4/Search Console reporting and quarterly roadmaps.

As SEO Manager, Senior Living you own search for a book of senior living clients (senior living operators and home care agencies with many communities): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
