Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is a remote, AI-first digital agency seeking an SEO Account Strategist to own search for a book of B2B and growing-brand clients. You’ll shape the technical roadmap, content priorities, and the ranking story when clients ask what moved.

You’ll drive technical SEO, keyword strategy, and content alignment with writers and AI, while expanding reach through AI search and traditional results. Remote from USA/Canada/LatAm/South Africa.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO with audits and fixes.
• Fluency in English for live calls with US clients.
• Experience working across multiple clients in an agency.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush.

Responsibilities

• Own search for a book of B2B and growing-brand clients: define technical roadmap and content priorities.
• Lead technical SEO tasks: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Develop keyword strategy and on-page optimization with writers and AI producing drafts.
• Improve visibility in AI search and traditional organic results.
• Handle links, local search and multi-location SEO as needed.
• Provide quarterly client roadmaps and reporting in GA4 and Search Console.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
