Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an SEO Account Strategist to own search for a portfolio of B2B and growing-brand clients. You will steer the technical roadmap, set content priorities, and articulate the ranking story when clients ask what moved.

This role places you as the strategic voice, coordinating with writers and AI for drafts, and delivering GA4 and Search Console reporting to support quarterly roadmaps in a fast-paced agency setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SEO, audits and fixes.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients concurrently.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO roadmap for client books.
• Develop keyword strategy and content priorities with writers and AI.
• Address AI search visibility with Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity.
• Manage links, local search and multi-location SEO as needed.
• Report in GA4 and Search Console; set quarterly roadmaps.

You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
