Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Server Administrator to lead upgrades and modernization of enterprise Windows Server environments, VMware, and AD infrastructure.

The role requires onsite collaboration with multiple technical teams and support for critical production systems. You will plan, execute, troubleshoot, and validate upgrades, patches, and DR testing, while documenting configurations and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Windows Server Administration experience.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Strong Active Directory administration experience.
• Experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Windows Server upgrades and migrations (2012/2016/2019 to newer versions).
• Administer and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and related services.
• Execute server patching, health checks, and performance validation activities.
• Coordinate with Network, Security, Database, and Application teams during upgrade activities.
• Perform backup, restoration, and disaster recovery validation.
• Troubleshoot server, virtualization, storage, and operating system issues.
• Document configurations, procedures, risks, and upgrade outcomes.
• Support after-hours maintenance windows and project cutover activities.
• Ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
