Job summary

Trillium Guideway Partners is seeking an experienced Utilities Superintendent to oversee on-site wet utilities, including water transmission and sanitary sewer, within the Ontario Line project. You will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and design teams to maintain progress and safety.

The role requires 5–7 years in construction management, strong knowledge of wet utilities, and the ability to read Civil Drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience in wet utilities construction and supervision.
• 5-7 years in construction management or supervision.
• In-depth knowledge of wet utility construction practices and local standards.
• Ability to read Civil Drawings and interpret specs.
• Proficiency with project management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site wet utilities installation and repair.
• Coordinate daily operations with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and safety.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve design issues during construction.
• Ensure all work meets local utility authority standards and regulations.
• Supervise foremen and crews to maximize production and efficiency.
• Evaluate construction methods and propose alternatives to reduce costs.
• Confirm manpower and equipment needs with the Project Manager; complete take-offs.
• Maintain progress per schedule and provide 2–3 week look-ahead planning.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure on-schedule performance.
• Maintain positive site relations with owner, subcontractors, and prime contractor.
• Review foreman's daily timesheets and maintain the job diary.
• Coordinate with PM on production review and activity planning.
• Identify changes and extra costs; coordinate with PM for invoicing.
• Complete contract tasks per provisions; notify milestones to owner representatives.
• Turn in monthly equipment requests for upcoming month.
• Daily safety checks on site.
• Perform other duties to promote teamwork and collaboration.
