Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking an Activity Aide to enrich the lives of older adults by creating meaningful programs and services. You will plan activities, encourage participation, and monitor engagement, contributing to a safe and welcoming space for residents.

Ideal candidates bring customer service experience with seniors, post-secondary education in related fields, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Customer service experience; working with seniors is an asset.
Post-secondary education in recreation, gerontology, social work, or related field.
Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented; proficient with Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

Help plan and deliver programs that support all dimensions of wellness.
Encourage residents to take part in daily activities and events.
Monitor and record participation and engagement levels.
Support a safe, welcoming, and inclusive activity space.
Prepare calendars, posters, and newsletters for programs.
