Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging programs that support their wellbeing. In this role you’ll plan, deliver, and adapt activities that address physical, mental, and social wellness, fostering a vibrant community.

You’ll bring strong communication and organizational skills, experience with seniors, and proficiency in Word and Excel to create calendars, posters, and newsletters that inform and inspire

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience; working with seniors is a strong asset.
• Post-secondary education in recreation, gerontology, social work, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized; detail-oriented; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Help plan and deliver programs that support all dimensions of wellness
• Encourage residents to take part in daily activities and special events
• Monitor and record participation and engagement levels
• Support a safe, welcoming, and inclusive activity space
• Prepare and share calendars, posters, and newsletters for programs
