Air Canada Vacations, Montreal Office, seeks a Senior Web Back-End Developer to design, develop and optimize scalable web applications, lead backend work, and integrate e-commerce platforms and APIs. Candidates bring 10+ years in backend Java, strong Spring expertise, microservices, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional backend development experience focusing on Java.
• Proven experience designing and developing scalable microservices architectures.
• Deep understanding of Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus.
• Strong RESTful API design and integration skills.
• Relational and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis.
• Experience with message brokers and event-driven architecture (Kafka).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Languages & Frameworks: Java (11+); Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security; RESTful APIs.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (Helm, Kustomize).
