Job Description:

Are you ready to apply your skills to Technical or Engineering projects? Do you excel in people skills and are willing to work hard to complete projects? This role is based in one of our GTA offices (Markham, Toronto, or Oakville) with some hybrid flexibility.

Parsons is seeking a Senior Wayfinding and Signage Specialist within our Rail and Transit division. You will work independently to manage and develop signage and wayfinding programs. Utilize current design technology and software to prepare proposals, programs, presentations, reports, technical papers, specifications, and Sign Manuals.

The ideal candidate can handle complex signage design assignments and manage signage projects from concept to fabrication, including developing standards and technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Manage signage and wayfinding tasks, developing programs and standards for large-scale transportation projects.
• Collaborate with the signage team and other disciplines to deliver accurate, clear, and consistent signage solutions within project parameters.
• Coordinate the entire signage program production, from concept to fabrication and contract administration.
• Assist in training new employees and review work by others.
• Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Digital Media (or equivalent) preferred; 8+ years of relevant experience is typical.

• Proficiency in design software such as CAD, REVIT, Illustrator, and InDesign is required.
• Strong graphic design skills and knowledge of signage production, reproduction, and fabrication techniques are essential.
• Ability to handle multiple detailed design assignments and meet schedules.
