Job summary

WSP Vancouver is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead design in water and wastewater facilities. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, apply seismic and geotechnical expertise, review drawings, and mentor junior engineers to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.

You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure code compliance and implement advanced design tools, including STAAD.Pro, S-FRAME, and Revit, while supporting site inspections and client engagements.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
P.Eng. designation registered with EGBC.
10+ years in structural engineering for water/wastewater facilities.
Experience with seismic design and challenging geotechnical conditions.
Ability to prepare technical memoranda and client-facing documents.
Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, S-FRAME, CSI suites, ACC and Revit.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design packages for water and wastewater facilities.
Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance.
Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Architectural disciplines.
Conduct site inspections and provide construction support.
Prepare markups in Bluebeam and coordinate BIM translations.
Apply engineering judgement and standard methodologies in complex projects.
