Job summary

WSP in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Process Engineer/Project Manager to lead municipal water and wastewater projects. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams from concept through commissioning and ensure design excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical expertise in water/wastewater treatment design and project delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering; Master’s degree is an asset.
• Professional Engineer designation or eligibility with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM).
• Proven ability to lead projects independently and manage complex, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in business development and client relationship building.
• Strong knowledge of permitting processes, contract administration, and commissioning practices.
• Valid driver’s licence and readiness to travel as needed.

• Deliver innovative designs for municipal water and wastewater systems, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and detailed engineering specifications.
• Lead feasibility studies, options evaluations, and economic assessments of treatment technologies to guide critical decisions.
• Oversee procurement and tendering of major process equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Drive project financials, schedules, and deliverables while mentoring junior and intermediate engineers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to execute scopes of work and manage subcontractors effectively
• Champion health and safety, quality management, and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles.

You’ll be a trusted design resource and project leader on municipal water and wastewater treatment projects that shape communities across Canada.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $114,600 – $151,800

MB & ON: $104,500 – $143,900

Atlantic Provinces & QC: $103,500 – $137,400
