Job summary

WSP in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Process Engineer/Project Manager to lead municipal water and wastewater treatment projects across Canada. You will be a trusted design resource and project leader from concept to commissioning.

The Manitoba team is a close-knit group; the role offers mentorship of junior engineers and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time, within budget, and with the highest safety standards.

Qualifications

10+ years of water/wastewater design and project delivery experience.
Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental/mechanical engineering; Master’s is a plus.
Professional Engineer designation or eligibility with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM).
Proven ability to lead projects independently and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience in business development and client relationship building.
Strong knowledge of permitting, contract administration, and commissioning practices.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
Deliver innovative designs for municipal water and wastewater systems with process flow diagrams and P&IDs.
Lead feasibility studies, options evaluations, and economic assessments of treatment technologies.
Oversee procurement and tendering of major process equipment with regulatory compliance.
Drive project financials, schedules, and deliverables while mentoring junior engineers.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage scopes and subcontractors.
Champion health and safety, quality management, and regulatory compliance throughout lifecycles.
