Senior Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer (Design Lead)

We are currently looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer (Design Lead) to join our Toronto office and take part in exciting and engaging water infrastructure projects of varying size and complexity.

Key Infrastructure
  • Large and small diameter watermains and sewers
  • Distribution and collection networks
  • Pipe rehabilitation
Key Duties
  • Oversight of engineering calculations and drawing preparation (hydraulics, pipe design, fittings and reinforcement, material and equipment selection)
  • Preparation and review of technical memos, reports, and specifications
  • Alignment selection
  • Chamber/station layout and design
  • Coordination of design with various stakeholders for permits and approvals
  • Leading coordination of multidisciplinary teams and supporting project management activities including scope, schedule, and budget
  • Participating in proposal development, client presentations, and business development efforts
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate staff to support team development
  • Supporting quality assurance/quality control review of project deliverables
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or applicable discipline and/or equivalent experience)
  • Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario
  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in an engineering consulting environment; 10+ years preferred for senior‑level responsibilities
  • Experience managing and coordinating multiple disciplines on small to large projects, including the ability to successfully manage scope, schedule, and budget
  • Experience in design of large and small diameter linear infrastructure
  • Experience in trenchless design with methods such as HDD, TBM, and MTBM
  • Experience in condition assessment and rehabilitation (asset)
  • Experience in proposal preparation and business development (asset)
  • Experience with alternate delivery methods (asset)
  • Experience designing using Autodesk and MicroStation software
  • Experience using hydraulic modelling software (asset)
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with clients, regulators, and municipal stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities
Salary Range

The base salary range for this position is $135,000.00 to $175,000.00.
