ABOUT THE ROLE :

The Senior Vice President, Retail Operations (SVP Retail) is a member of Sephora Canada's Operating Team. Reporting to GM of Canada, you will be responsible for driving the retail sales and operations strategy, leading the retail stores, retail operations, with a focus on omni-experience and real estate across Canada. The SVP Retail will also provide overall business leadership and direction, including the development and implementation of Sephora Canada's retail growth strategy, with the goal of driving store traffic, maximizing revenue & profitability, increasing brand awareness, creating efficiencies and providing an exceptional instore experience for our customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

  • Generate new retail business growth strategies that complement the financial and strategic initiatives of the company
  • Collaborate with the Canadian Operating Team supporting the overall strategic direction and management of the Canada business.
  • Provide operational expertise and implement best in class practices necessary to support the success of the business and elevate the client experience instore consistently to align with business objectives
  • Management of the entire retail operation workforce (5,000+ employees over 140+ stores across Canada) and the profitability of Sephora Canada's bricks and mortar business
  • Develop and implement strategic action plans that capture opportunities in store sales growth, market expansion, and margin gain
  • Direct all operational activities within Canada through Regional Directors, District Managers and Retail Store Experience & Optimization teams
  • Support Sephora's real estate and store opening strategy
  • Implement and refine sales strategies to increase key KPls
  • Develop clearly defined KPls that allows for individual accountability at every level within the region and facilitates career development through mentoring, succession planning and motivating / inspiring team members.
  • Build a strong team that can deliver goals and targets and provide consistent and inspirational leadership
  • to the bricks and mortar business across Canada
  • Establish strong relationships with the North American Retail organization to maximize leveraged tools and resources while championing Canada specific nuances.
  • Frequent travel is required within Canada, as well as US and internationally for market visits and collaboration with internal and external partners
