Location: North Vancouver, BC

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As Senior Vice President, Process Operations, you provide operational leadership in the execution of Arc’teryx product creation and go-to-market strategy. You build, lead and inspire high-performing product and brand operations teams to deliver on world-class product creation. In partnership with design, development, product management, merchandising, planning, supply chain, commerce, and marketing, you drive the vision and strategic direction to optimize a high performing cross-functional team.

Meet your Future Team:

The Product Operations team optimizes the intersection of product and taking that product to the marketplace, supporting through cross-functional teams to improve alignment, communication, and processes around the product. We build a foundation for excellence through reinforcing product strategy with metrics, infrastructure, business processes, best practices, budgeting, and reporting.

If you were the Senior Vice President, Process Operations now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Building a vision and identifying key strategic priorities for the Process Operations team to deliver on a best-in-class product creation and go-to-market process.
  • Architecting future requirements and partnering with key business leaders to develop the product creation process, leveraging current practice with a strategic vision for product management, design, and supply chain operations.
  • Architecting future requirements and partnering with key business leaders to develop the go-to-market process, leveraging current practice with a strategic vision for merchandising, commerce, and marketing operations.
  • Liaising with business analysts and systems architects within functional teams to ensure current and future solutions are systematically aligned with future business processes and capabilities.
  • Building, coaching, and leading high performing team members to enable the execution of the product vision through the go-to-market (GTM) calendar, expectations, goals, and deliverables.
  • Ensuring the Product, Creative, and Supply Chain teams have clarity of timelines and deliverables against our go-to-market calendar, while championing a culture of continuous challenge, improvement, and growth.
  • Collaborating with and supporting Leadership on identifying areas of process improvement, business calendar, and team structure requirements.
  • Partnering with Senior Director, Product Operations to ensure all product team leads have the resources according to project requirements, balancing seasonal and concept deliverables in close alignment with Development, Design, Merchandising, and Sourcing.
  • Identifying opportunities for others to lead and mentor team members.
  • Taking ownership of Process Ops budget planning, tracking, and reporting and identifying budget allocation gaps across cross-functional creation teams.
  • Monitoring and reporting team performance metrics regularly to leadership.
  • Acting as a key member of the Merchandising leadership team and participating in broader organizational strategy and planning.
  • Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain.

  • You have 20+ years’ experience in product creation, including 10+ years in a leadership role, with a complete understanding of the product lifecycle and go-to-market processes.
  • You have a proven track record in developing and leading the execution of a multi-year business strategy.
  • You have strong business acumen, with the ability to lead in a complex matrix business environment.
  • You have proven people leadership skills and the ability to build, coach, and guide a diverse and high performing team.
  • You have strong influential leadership, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives.
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration.
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.

Compensation:

$268,000 - $335,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$268,000 - CAD$335,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training.
Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and do not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
