Velan Studios is looking for a skilled VFX artist in Toronto to craft a wide range of effects for our original and existing IPs. You will collaborate with the Art Director and leads to define the VFX look and ensure assets meet gameplay goals and performance budgets.

You will work with design and art teams to develop high-quality assets, stay current with industry trends, and contribute proactively to production cycles in a hybrid/onsite setting in Toronto.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of game industry VFX experience on console and/or PC.
• Degree or equivalent in Digital Media Design, Game Design, or related field.
• Strong texture and shader creation abilities.
• Strong portfolio of shipped games.

Responsabilidades

• Craft a wide range of VFX for original and existing IP games.
• Define VFX look with Art Director and leads.
• Collaborate with design and art teams to meet gameplay goals and budgets.
• Be proactive in problem-solving across project cycles.
• Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Leverage modern toolsets and AAA engine experience.
