Job summary

Zensurance is seeking a Senior UX Designer to champion user needs across customer-facing and internal apps, owning the design strategy from discovery to high-fidelity prototyping. You’ll contribute to the design system, improve processes, and mentor the team.

Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product and Engineering, translate analytics into user-centered journeys, and ensure accessibility (AODA/WCAG). This 9-month contract emphasizes impactful, scalable design for complex fintech SaaS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, ideally within Fintech, Insurtech, or complex SaaS environments.
• Portfolio that shows thinking process and constraints handling.
• Expert-level skills in Figma and familiarity with modern hand-off and research tools.
• Strategic mindset balancing blue-sky vision with MVP reality in a fast-moving startup.
• Ability to articulate the why behind design decisions to stakeholders using data and research.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: Lead the design process from discovery to high-fidelity prototyping and post-launch optimization.
• Complex Problem Solving: Simplify intricate insurance logic into clear, accessible user journeys and map service blueprints.
• Data-Driven Iteration: Use product analytics and A/B testing to validate designs and drive conversions.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leads to align on the product roadmap.
• Design System Evolution: Contribute to internal design system for consistency, accessibility (AODA/WCAG), and scalability.
• Mentorship: Provide feedback during reviews and mentor junior designers.
