About the Job: The Senior UX/UI Designer isresponsible for understanding complex business, technical and customer problemsand translating them into simple and elegant digital solutions – blending quantand qual research and insights, data and solid intuition. Must be able toclearly communicate vision and know how to balance customer needs and businessgoals. Success is building strong cross-functional partnerships with Product,IT and other UX team members, and understanding that their seat at the table isto represent the customer’s point of view.

The Senior UX/UI Designer will be responsible for theconceptualizing, designing and delivering design artifacts to improve the userexperience of the Home Depot digital product and expanding and maintaining highdesign standards.

Office Location: Toronto

Employment Type: Permanent

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days in office)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities forimproving design and delivery process
  • Influence business and productleadership and guide cross-functional teams in user-centered design
  • Contribute to the development,maintenance, and continuous improvement of efficient and effective usability processes,documentation and workflow
  • Lead design projects andinfluence the overall UX strategy based on advanced knowledge of user experience principles and researchmethods, and using evaluative techniques to iteratively improve products
70% Delivery & Execution
  • Work closely with UX, productand IT project team members to understand the business process and requirements to design themost effective user interfaces
  • Create visual design &product elements for user interfaces, taking into consideration user research and industry & designbest practices and demos
  • Collaborate with UX analysts anddesigners, copywriters, product managers on scenarios, end to- end experiences, and screendesigns
  • Adhere to The Home DepotCanada/homedepot.ca design standards by following the digital style guide forall elements, such as buVons, fonts, forms, tables, colors, icons, navigationetc.
  • Present UX/UI concepts anddesigns clearly for feedback, approval and implementation

  • Support Design team members incomplex/technical tasks
  • Provide mentorship/introductionsto UX for non-UX associates
  • Coach junior associates in UX activities.
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+years of experience as a UX Designer
  • Proficiencyin Figma and Miro for design, collaboration, and ideation.
  • Experiencewith UX playbooks and user-testing methodologies.
  • Stronganalytical, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellentorganizational and time-management abilities.
  • Strongproblem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
  • Experienceanalyzing data to generate actionable UX insights.
  • Knowledgeof project and change-management principles

Salary Range: $90,000 to $95,000 CAD/ year

The final compensation offered will depend on local marketconditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as thecandidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, andeducation/training. Compensation may also include additional components such asbenefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable.
