Senior UX Designer (BBBH11168) Toronto, Canada
Our client has a 6-month, hybrid position (3 days per week in downtown Toronto). The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Must Haves:
- 6+ years’ experience in User Experience (UX) design for complex websites and applications
- 6+ years’ experience with UX research methodologies, including interviews, personas, customer journeys, usability testing, and user feedback loops
- 5+ years’ experience creating current and future state user flows (task flow analysis)
- Significant experience facilitating remote client workshops
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Lead, Experience Design and Senior Manager, Experience Design to understand strategic priorities
- Engage with business, technical, CX teams, clinical leads, and users to understand needs, workflows, and technical constraints
- Guide internal teams, external partners, and vendors on UX deliverables
- Conduct heuristic evaluations to identify opportunities and gaps in existing products
- Plan and execute iterative UX research, analyzing feedback to generate actionable insights and recommendations
- Use user data and user-centered design principles to develop taxonomies, IA, sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups
- Iterate on designs through usability testing to ensure effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces for clinical and patient-facing web applications
- Conduct design reviews for feedback and clarity
- Validate screens for compliance with UX/UI standards and AODA (WCAG Level AA), working with teams to address issues
- Provide regular updates on progress and blockers to relevant teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Skills:
- Professional accreditation or certification in UX
- Experience managing complex programs with multiple workstreams
- Extensive experience designing complex digital products across devices and resolutions
- Experience planning and recruiting for user research, including managing screeners and honorariums
- Ability to translate requirements into user-centric solutions
- Proficiency in creating sitemaps, user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes
- Experience designing AODA (WCAG Level AA) compliant experiences and performing audits
- Expertise in UX/UI best practices, inclusive design, and accessibility
- Experience collaborating with technical teams on development constraints
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Adobe XD, Figma, and digital whiteboarding tools like Mural or Miro
- Experience in healthcare and/or public sector digital solutions
