Job summary

Export Development Canada (EDC) is seeking a Senior UX Content Designer to join the Experience Design team in a hybrid role based in Ottawa or Canada-wide hubs. You will shape content standards, govern UX writing, and enable design systems across digital experiences.

You will partner with UX, accessibility, product and research teams to ensure content is accessible, clear and effective, supporting WCAG-compliant practices and enterprise-wide content governance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, Design Operations, or related discipline.
• Experience creating, maintaining, or governing UX content standards, guidelines, or content frameworks.
• Strong understanding of user-centered and inclusive content design principles and information architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and govern enterprise content design standards, guidelines, patterns, and best practices.
• Collaborate with UX designers, accessibility specialists, product teams, and stakeholders to promote adoption of content design practices.
• Coordinate user research activities and manage research logistics, recruitment, scheduling, and communications.
• Support content governance within design systems, templates, components, and workflows.
• Contribute to accessibility and inclusive design by incorporating WCAG requirements and plain language principles.
