Job summary

Northbridge Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Underwriter for mid-market new business. You will assess commercial risks, collaborate with broker partners, and help shape underwriting decisions while supporting growth and relationship building across internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial Underwriting experience in property, casualty, automobile.
• Completed, or pursuing your CIP designation (an asset).
• Strong customer service background.
• Team-first mentality.

Responsibilities

• We are looking for experienced underwriters to assess risks and make sound decisions for mid-market new business.
• Collaborate with brokers and internal partners to ensure a complete risk picture.
• Mentor and coach less experienced underwriters and support ongoing development.

Our Senior Underwriters provide complete solutions for our commercial mid-market businesses. They work closely with a wide range of broker partners to get a holistic picture of each risk and make underwriting decisions that make sense for all parties. They are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our internal and external stakeholders and love utilizing their strong technical skills to ensure that risks are assessed properly. While they are already experts in their own field, Northbridge is committed to their ongoing growth and development. Working in a collaborative team they provide coaching, mentoring and development for less experienced underwriters. We want your talent! If you are great at:

• Commercial Underwriting

If you have:

• 5+ years of Commercial Underwriting experience in property, casualty, automobile
